Making your Business Stronger with Outsourcing!

When we go into business, we have a skill or product we are good at that we can see as being beneficial to others. Who will become our clients?

Running a business though involves far more than just selling that product or service. It’s also all the areas behind the scenes that are needed to give a business longevity and success.

Whilst chatting with other business owners I hear things like “I’m great at what I do but I’m useless at…. Or I’m so busy making products/with my clients I don’t get time to…. This can lead to a lot of stress and pressure on a person because, whilst there are areas that can be temporarily ignored (not without impact), other areas such as the financial record side of a business, cannot be left on the “to do” list indefinitely if you want your business to flourish.

If I asked you what help with your business looked like to you, what would your answer be?

  • Someone to create and manage my Social media platforms.

  • Some to write blogs for me.

  • Help with bookkeeping.

  • A researcher to investigate all those things I want to investigate but never get the time.

  • Help with maintaining our CRM’s or databases.

  • Someone to create marketing material.

  • Help with diary management and inbox monitoring.

This list could go on and on. There are many jobs that can be outsourced, these are just the common tasks I come across from my clients.

Often for small businesses employing anyone is out of reach. This is where outsourcing can become a powerful tool in your business strategy. The idea of outsourcing is daunting as it seems like a loss of control, handing over bits of your precious “baby”. I hear this often and I whole heartedly understand but don’t dismiss the idea when you reach a capacity point in what you can achieve in one day.

Finding the right someone to support your business gives you:

  • An extra pair of hands, your business can become twice as productive for those hours you have help.

  • A chance to lower your stress levels and gain valuable hours back to use elsewhere.

  • The ability to grow and achieve more within your business.

  • Provides a wide network of new connections which can provide additional support and advice. You might want to change this back to what you originally said.

And all this without having to provide employee benefits!

Here at Busy Keys Virtual Assistant I offer support on an Ad hoc or regular support basis. This gives clients the flexibility and freedom to tailor a support package to suit the individual needs of their business. Both these styles of assistance have great advantages, the whole point for me, of running a service based business is to lighten the load for busy bees (I do love a way to give Bee’s a mention somehow) and watch as these businesses benefit and grow.

If you feel your business could benefit from an extra pair of hands in any aspect that doesn’t fit with your own skill set, then my advice is don’t be afraid to seek out help and consider outsourcing.

If you have any more questions about services Busy Keys itself can provide or any general queries about outsourcing, do not hesitate to contact me on hazel.weyman@busykeys.co.uk or via my fb page Busy Keys
